As a producer (who monetizes their work), how do you balance creativity versus doing what sales? I've been struggling on whether I should keep producing as a side hobby or try switching my production to fit the market demand. Trying to improve my SEO, but some of my beats don't quite fit into any genres that I know. I understand I could just kind of clickbait and title the beat with a popular genre, but my main focus is to views to sales conversion so I want to avoid that approach. If you know what genre this is or ones I could use to title it that would be excellent. Thank you for the help!
I don't know what genre any of my beats are... I've been producing for a while now, I have a massive stock pile of beats and I'm ready to start selling some. I'm not looking for it to be a main source of income or anything, I just want to make a few extra dollars on the side. I figured my best strategy to keep it as a passive side hustle is by listing them on beatstars and promoting them with youtube, but i realized I have no clue how to market them. I understand SEO very well as content creation was my main source of income at one point, my problem is I don't know what genre my beats fit into. I can't accurately title them as "x" type beat because I don't even know what type of beat it is. I'm thinking about a "you didn't find this beat, it found you" type of strategy but do artist actually look for those. If you have any advice or ideas I would love the help. Thank You!!
