transit visa Suvarnabhumi
My wife and I have booked flights MEL to KIX and we transit through BKK where we change carriers from JQ to Peach (MM). Our luggage is not checked through. Seems we need to enter the Kingdom of Thailand, check our bags in with Peach and get back airside. We have 5 hours layover so no drama but it seems we need a transit visa to do this, but I'm not sure. The transit visa needs to be applied for and granted ahead of travel. It's not something available on arrival. That said, I have seen a check box on the TDAC portal for transit, so maybe I don't need consular approval????
After 3 nights in Osaka we return to BKK and enter the Kingdom again to take a domestic flight down to Samui for a 5 night vacation. For this second entry I enter as a tourist in TDAC and hope it is not considered a 'multiple' entry if I used tourism but transit the first time. Will 3 entries inside 4 days matter?
Does the 2x TDAC process seem like the right process? Is multiple entry going to trip us up? Should I apply in advsnce for the transit visa?
