I know this is going to be unpopular but… Marcell Ozuna has a higher xwOBA than Konnor Griffin right now according to Baseball Savant. Not trying to trigger people but just was surprised to see it.

I’m expecting a Rowdy Tellez / Tommy Pham turnaround for Marcell (but even moreso). I also think Konnor with some more time gets some of his swing and miss and batting ball profile statistics improved. Not sure how much they have improved over last few weeks

Remember the outrage at trading Bailey Falter for a package including Sisk? Sisk both in statistics and underlying metrics looks like a good setup man while Bailey has been close to playing himself out of the league

People said and will say “We should have gotten more” because Bailey had a deflated ERA despite bad underlying metrics. We are lucky to get what we did given that GMs don’t care about ERA and they are aware of their true expectation. A good trade for us it seems!
