Short-term rental hosts — are walkthrough videos worth it?

Curious from actual STR hosts/property managers:

For listings on VRBO, direct booking sites, or social media, are you using property videos at all?

I noticed VRBO recently started rolling out a video option, and I’m curious what other hosts think about video in general.

  1. Do walkthrough videos help bookings/conversions, or are photos usually enough?
  2. If you don’t use video, is it because it doesn’t matter, or because video is too expensive / too much hassle to create?
  3. For those who considered adding video, what stopped you?

Also curious — if you could create a realistic walkthrough-style video from your existing listing photos without hiring/scheduling a videographer or needing another property visit, would that change anything?

Not selling anything — just trying to understand how STR hosts think about video.
