"Activation" - what is it? How does it happen?
I've been looking in to energy healing for a few years now and have vaguely heard of some people mention activation. I've also heard of some reiki training stage where the teacher activates the student? But I don't actually understand what it actually is. Some kind of switching on connection to Energy/ the Divine/ Source etc? How is this done? Can it be done intentionally? I have been very dissociated and have some doubts that I could be activated through some intentional cognitive decision to be activated. One energy healer did think I had been activated at one point and was trying to find out what it was that caused it. The only thing I could point to might have been feeling extremely low to the extent that I was beseeching Angels/ Guides/ whatever is out there to help me. Which is not something I previously normally did. There was no dramatic before and after either. I just seem to be incrementally (veery slowly) getting more and more "online" with energy - in alignment? I began seeing doubling/ tripling repeating numbers more.
Can anyone explain what activation is and how to do it?
edit: maybe it's called "attunement" in reiki instead of activation. Is that the same thing?
