Two more settlements to the seal

Two more settlements to the seal

I was too passive in my last settlement and only opened 1 glade until year 4 in the marshlands with half the orders not finished. I had resources to survive but no way to push resolve. Also was too busy with Blightrot 450% on year three that I barely managed to not get it to explode. And finally the coffin on the nail is I had zero gathering camps to pursue Forbidden glades.

Also, I just noticed I could have used a syndicated merchant, not that it would make a huge difference on P15.

Last settlement Species:
- beavers (9 in the beginning), humans and harpies came very late)

Small hearth - QHT

I just got back to the game and doing a queen’s hand trial that is killing me in every aspect, I wanted to ask everyone how they deal with small hearths?

I saw someone on YouTube that build a hearth in every new glade. The question here, do you get -30 for each hearth you build? How often do you use this? Does it give +1 resolve for each hearth build if you meet level 1 requirement?

Queen’s Hand

Any advice on how to tackle it?

I came back and thought I would start a Queen’s Hand and started it on Viceroy.

To my shock, I forgot I have zero things. Literally cooked food was a privilege. No kitchen, no housing?? no blueprint re-rolls. I didn’t expect the absolute sheer amount of pain this caused. I almost lost the game too so it wasn’t a smooth first ride.

What citadel upgrades should I pursue? Any overall advice?

Coming back to the game thoughts

After a long stop period, I came back to this gem of a game to find Bats and other updates.

Currently in the middle of a P20 seal but I think I will just go to Queen’s trial as it is more challenging.

Bats: they are really great with the mining Cornerstone allowing +8% productivity globally. That is one of the best combinations I have ever seen in the game. Since I have been away, I think bats are good with frogs due to Paste.

I have seen some good new cornerstones combos like Trader arriving gives +10 amber and +15 amber when accepting new villagers. This gives 25 easily. I had this in a map with a modifier giving me +5 Amber in a drizzle season for every hostility level. This was the richest I have ever been in my life. Also currently just playing P6 so maybe I need to step it up.

There are a lot to discuss, but since I will doing a queen’s trial, I would like to ask what things to be aware of? what changed? How to tackle the seal fragments?
