(United States) Visiting a state that doesn’t legally recognize trans people?
I can’t seem to find any specific answers online so I wanted to ask about people’s experiences here.
In a few months, I plan on traveling to another state to meet some of my partner’s family. The thing is, they live in a state that does not legally recognize transgender people.
Does anyone know how this would affect my experience traveling there?
I live in a progressive state, and all my documents are updated to match my true name and gender. I’ll also be visiting a blue city in the state, which is why I’m even considering the trip. Other than locals potentially clocking me, is there anything I need to worry about on the legal side / in general?
I would only be visiting for about a week.
