Experience with VGP and refunds?
Anyone had any issues with VGP and getting an actual refund for an error on their part?
I recently placed an order for a pack of Cyberpunk cards that literally have the wrong item description on it, as well as initially being listed as in-stock.
The item was a box of Cyberpunk cards being listed as having 36 Beta packs in it. I ordered it the day it went live and the listing said it was available at the time. Then a few days later VGP changed the listing to being a ‘pre-order’ and added their pre-order disclaimer about refunds only being in store credit.
I reached out to them and they also confirmed that the box they’re selling is different from the one in the product listing and will only contain 24 packs of cards: a whole third less than advertised. Because of this, I asked for a full refund instead of store credit, and they just ignored my request and refunded as store credit anyways.
I am prepared to do a chargeback through my credit card and I guess stop shopping there, but it just seems like a really weird hill for them to die on when it’s such an obvious example of a misleading product listing.
The kicker is that the item STILL has the wrong item description and is currently sold out. I wonder how many of those buyers are going to be surprised to receive only 24 packs of cards instead of the 36 they’re being promised.
