Surrey Greek food festival?

Never been and wanted to try it this year. By doing a solo dinning experience this Friday and wanted to know how the lamb is?

The menu has a few lamb options: the lamb dinner, 1/2 kilo BBQ lamb, 1 BBQ lamb and whole BBQ lamb seems like they specialize in the lamb.

Chicken souvlaki is always good everywhere and thinking of trying the lamb.

Thoughts, opinions?

Any recent experience with the 1st Central Surrey Scout Group or other surrounding groups?

My younger sister has been struggling to make friends at school since her old ones moved away and has been wanting to get out there more in the community anyway, so I thought I'd help her by looking for groups that she could join.

I checked the website and she'd be in the Venturer Scouts (15-17) but I'm not sure how "active" the scouts are today. All the resources I found are from people talking about what it was like many years ago, but times change. I want to make sure that it's big enough for her to actually get to meet people and do things.

She's not really on social media often, which is part of the reason she said she doesn't feel like she fits in well at school, so having a more outdoor-focused non-digital group sounds like it would be a good fit for her.

Does anyone have any recent experience with the 1st Central Surrey Scout Group or any other scout group in the area (we live a bit closer to South Surrey/White Rock, but I'd be willing to drive her to the central Surrey area) and could tell me a bit about what it's like now, especially for someone of her age range?

Dress alterations in South Surrey?

I have to get alterations and hemming done on a satin dress for a wedding (top is too big) and I was wondering if anyone had any affordable recommendations? I’m also looking to potentially add in a built in bra, though I’m not sure this is possible considering the style of the dress.

I’m starting to run short on time and beginning to get a bit stressed out. Thanks in advance!

Affordable beef cuts?

Hi all! I'm curious if anyone knows where to go in Surrey to get the cheapest cuts of beef? I use sous vide and slow cooking, so am completely fine with tougher cuts like chuck, flank or shank.

I usually buy whatever beef cut is on sale (when it's on sale) at Superstore, but wondering if there are any other better options in Surrey for affordable meat?

Guitar and other music lessons

Hi, I've got a couple young teens looking for singing, piano and (rock) guitar lessons. Long and McQuade seems good but pricey. Can anyone recommend another teacher or avenue in Surrey?

I’m looking for bright reds, yellows, damn.. even purple at this point.

I’m looking for the best places for pics that feel like the east coast without having to plan a trip there.

Thank you in advanced 🙏

Disability lawyer recommendations? (Surrey / Lower Mainland, BC)

Hello, sub, hoping u can point me in the right direction.

My partner was recently denied their long‑term disability claim, and we're now looking for legal help to appeal the decision. We're based in Surrey, but open to working with a firm anywhere in BC (and probably accross Canada as well, doesn't matter, just need to be sure that guys will know how it works in our local courts) as long as they handle disability denials.

I've spent hours scrolling through firm websites, and NGL it's honestly exhausting. My partner's case involves complex medical documentation and a pretty stubborn insurer, so as I told above - we need someone who knows the ins and outs of disability law in this province, not just a general personal injury lawyer.

if you have anything to say on topic - we'd love to hear your story and feedback asap.

We're not looking for a miracle, simply need a level playing field when dealing with all these crooks in the insurance industry..

Vacant Building - King George Blvd and 64th Ave

What is the history of the building located at King George Blvd and 64th Ave? It's been vacant for years but doesn't look like an old building.

Residential lawn maintenance and landscaping recommendations for Cloverdale area?

Looking for some recommendations! We just had a baby and cannot keep up with yard work or maintenance at all. I want to support a local business or independent business owner that is interested since we don't have a huge front or back yard or any crazy landscaping projects. We would be regular customers looking for monthly or even biweekly maintenance. Some of the services I'd be interested in: regular yard maintenance, small front garden landscaping/planting rework, cutting back overgrowth from green space, and miscellaneous repair work in the backyard if applicable.

If anyone has any trusted referrals, we would love to reach out and get a quote!

Guy drove straight through a CIBC window in Surrey

Spoke to a retail worker in the area. Apparently a guy was very angry and screaming at his wife. He slammed on the gas in his car and he got stuck on the curb and they heard him rev very hard and he went straight through the window. Luckily smashed into the pole before getting into the ATM area so no one was hurt from what they know. Cops showed up and he told them it was a car malfunction and from what the worker witnessed they didn't test for drugs and alcohol. Guy later said he only got an $180 fine so not sure if he will get dinged on his insurance. It's all boarded up and they got security there now.

A Mirracle that im thankful. At dental clinic in surrey. I cant, believe what he did to my teeth when I was depressed about extraction.

At dental clinic in surrey area I got a treatment. Originally after my XRay's and check up since I have Disability assistance im also having insurance that covers only 40% of cost and extractions it covers 100%. After teeth Exam I could only do extraction cus i didn't have money for a root canal treatment. I came there and and in process of talk with my dentist he decided instead of extracting the tooth, but give me instead root canal treatment and This such a kind person saved my tooth and didn't charge me money for it, i was shocked and and wasn't able to say anything after he did all the things and he even treated a small cavity next to my root canal treated tooth. This person saved my tooth and later he said that he was feeling very bad about extractions cus he didn't wanna make me loose my tooth in my 22 year old. He just decided to save me from loosing my tooth and didn't charge for it. I cant be as much be thankful as I can. Thank you really, I hope your life bringing good vibes and happiness. Thank you.

Looking for people to talk with in russian

Anyone that speaks Russian looking to make friends in surrey, I have been learning the language for a year and a half and am finding it hard to speak it with anyone ever since I moved away from Coquitlam, I speak some Ukranian but not very well,

I like mostly outdoors stuff like hiking, camping, swimming ect, I don't smoke other then cigars and I drink with friends or on occasion if not, I enjoy trying and cooking new foods, learning languages and cultures, and science based things as my career choice is refrigeration, not really into sports but I'll go to a pub or buddy's house to watch UFC if invited. Got alot more interests but here's a start

Where do we find a reliable Sports Card Buyer?

We have albums of pristine older NBA and hockey cards. A lot are probably worth nothing but there are definitely some we would like appraised or to possibly sell.

But I dont even know where to begin. I believe they should be graded (?) first. Who does that? I guess that is first step - and how much does that cost??

They are organized and filed.

Just have no idea where to even begin.
