28/FtM looking for company

Hey Athenians, I'm a 28 years old trans man and I came to Athens to explore the city and also meet other LGBT people.

I'm not a bargoer and prefer to connect with someone in a surrounding that's not party related. My interests are archaeology, ancient history, and creative activities like painting/museums/pottery.

If you vibe with that, I am very happy to hang out! I'll also give more details about myself in private messages.

Have a great night everyone! 🙂

Looking for queer friendly spaces in Athens

I'm currently in Athens, ticked all the ancient sites off of my list and now find myself wondering where to meet other queer people.

I'd love to know some queer spaces that are not drinking or party related, like bookstores, cafès or galleries. If anything is close to or in the Kypseli area, I'm especially interested since I'm staying there. It would be a pleasure having some conversations with other queer people before I leave again.

I did already find a bookstore close to the center that seemed alternative, it's called Hyper Hypo. They had a small exhibition space on their lower level. That's all I found so far.

Visiting Athens as a former Erasmus student! 🇬🇷🇩🇪

I'll be visiting Athens for about three weeks soon, and I thought I'd post here in case someone is interested in meeting up.

I've done Erasmus in Greece and have kept this country in my heart ever since. My last visit to Athens was way back in 2021, I fondly remember sitting atop Aeropagus hill at nighttime and just being completely starstruck by the immense gravitas of the Akropolis. Also, I've never really made it past an A2 level of Modern Greek, so I'm very happy to practice.

I'm 28 years old and a German national. Not sure if that's relevant information but I'm also a trans person (FtM).

I've already seen the Akropolis and its museum, the Zappeion, Plato's philospher school, the Roman Agora, the Plaka, Hadrian's Library and Arch, the Panathenaic Stadium, the University Library, the Parliament and general area around Syntagma. I'm definitely interested in going to some of those again though.

Things I haven't yet seen and would like to:

- Odeon of Herodes Atticus

- an Ancient Greek theatre play

- sites that are more relevant to modern Greek history

If that sounds appealing to you and/or you would like to share ideas, feel free to message me!

Victory Inn near Pedion Areos?

Dear Athenians,

is the hotel "Victory Inn" a good place for a medium lenght stay (3 weeks) in Athens? How about its general location (around the red marker), is that a safe area or not advisable?

Hello Athenians! I am a 28 years old German looking for penpals from Athens. Some years ago, I did Erasmus in Greece and it has really impacted the person I have grown up to be. I will never forget the friends I made and places I went.

I will be coming to Athens in August, I haven't been looking forward to anything like it in years. I can't wait to really explore the city's different districts and meet new people. In the meantime, I'd like to improve my Modern Greek until I get there. If you ever wanted to be penpals with someone from Germany, please do not hesitate to reach out! I'm interested in sending letters and postcards, maybe with little selfmade crafts if you like. I will attach some photos of things I made! My interests are drawing, painting, going to museums, and exploring new places. I'm a trans man and also very interested in what life is like for LGBT people in Athens.

Ideally I'm looking for people with a similar age, but it's not a problem for me personally if you are a bit older or younger within reasonable range.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if that sounds appealing to you.

I'm a German national living in Koblenz area and I'm very fond of Modern Greek language and culture, having spent a portion of my university time in the country. But it's been a while since and I'd love to freshen up and improve what skills I managed to retain.

I haven't had much luck at the Volkshochschule, where courses will be restarting in autumn at the earliest. I can read and write, but my conversational level isn't very powerful - I'd rate myself somewhere between A2 and B1 in total.

I am 28 years old, so ideally I'm looking for someone similarly aged but it's not a dealbreaker for me personally if you are a bit older/younger within reasonable range. So, if you're interested in learning German, I'd be glad to have someone to practice with, no matter your current ability level! Also, if you're not interested in German, I'd love to just make new Greek friends.

Τα λέμε! Feel free to get in touch.
