Anyone else think Taj Mahal’s rail draw completely changes the Preakness?

Anyone else think Taj Mahal’s rail draw completely changes the Preakness?

After reading through a bunch of Preakness pace projections and betting sheets, the biggest thing that stood out was how divided people are on Taj Mahal.

On one hand:
• undefeated at Laurel
• dominant local form
• tactical speed
• obvious comfort over the surface

On the other:
• rail draw
• multiple outside speed horses
• projected fast fractions
• possible pace war immediately into the first turn

That’s probably why Chip Honcho, Ocelli, and Incredibolt keep showing up on a lot of sharper-looking tickets.

Especially Ocelli underneath.

Also noticed “The Hell We Did” keeps appearing as the preferred longshot inclusion almost everywhere.

Feels like this race is way more about trip survival than pure talent this year.
