Having trouble with Mario fair combo
Hi! I’m a new smash player working through learning basic combos and fundamentals. I connect really well with Palutena but want to learn Mario because everyone recommends him. However, I have trouble finishing stock with him and I think it’s because I’m not taking advantage of his upair upair fair combo (but also find him more mechanically demanding despite what people say)
My question is do I have to fast fall the falling upair into fair? I’ve hit it in training without fast falling and the combo counter counts it (but I know it’s not exactly accurate sometimes) but I find that if I fast fall after upair it’s like I didn’t fast fall but if I fast fall before upair the upair doesn’t come out
Is it necessary? Or is it helpful to make it more consistent?
