Best way to haul 150 lbs of gear a mile through the woods? Sled + harness, or game cart?

I've got about 150 lbs of camping gear to move roughly a mile through the woods. Right now I drag it on a plastic deer sled, pulling the rope with my hands. It works but it wrecks my hands and shoulders and I'm basically walking sideways half the time.

Two things I'm wondering about:

  1. Would a harness (deer drag harness or a pulk-style hip belt setup) actually make a big difference over hand pulling? Seems like it'd let me use my legs and hips instead of death gripping a rope the whole way.
  2. Should I just switch to a game cart? The path is mostly smooth but there are fallen logs across it and two small stream ravines I have to get down into and back out of. My worry is a cart turns those spots into a nightmare where the sled just slides through.

Before anyone says pack less: I've tried. It's bulky stuff, not heavy small stuff, so I can't strap it all to my back even though I know a pack is the most efficient way to carry weight. This is the load, it's not shrinking.

Anybody done both? Curious if the harness alone fixes most of it or if the cart is worth dealing with the obstacles.
