Hello Everyone! Recently I just got this Dx7 for just 30bucks, everything is working properly, However, when I opened the panel, it was really filthy there were sticky spider webs, dust, and gunk everywhere. I need some advice from people who have done this before because I don’t want to accidentally damage this iconic synth. I’m also just a beginner with no real experience in disassembling vintage instruments, but I really want to learn and experience it myself.

Here are some of my questions:

1. Can I use isopropyl alcohol to clean the circuit boards?

2. Do I really need to wear an anti-static wrist strap when disassembling a circuit board? If so, where should I clip it? I honestly have no idea how to use this.

3. Should I buy an expensive contact cleaner or not, and where exactly should I apply it?

4. What parts should I avoid touching to prevent electrocuting myself?

5. Can I use Armor All product, to clean and restore the color of the DX7’s panel and body?
