I’m pretty new to Tame Impala but went to see them live last night. Here are my newbie observations.

First off, great show.

Observations-

*Kevin is really embracing the rock star thing he has going and nailing it. Good on him.

*Girls LOVE him. I wasn’t expecting the amount of women at the show, probably more than men.

*Let it Happen got the biggest pop from the crowd, probably followed up by Dracula.

*Cool light show stuff, some interesting things I’ve never seen before.

*I didn’t realise the 60s hippie look was a theme for the female crowd at Tame Impala shows. Was cool to see.

These are just my newbie observations. I also didn’t realise Elephant was a Tame Impala song (heard this song countless times on the radio over the years but thought it was actually from a 60s band).

Overall a great show.

Since it's the 18th anniversary of Self-titled EP I wanted to know how y'all would rank the songs!

(yes I am including Wander even though it's a bonus track)

here's how i'd rank each track :)

  1. 41 Mosquitoes flying in formation
  2. Half full glass of wine
  3. Desire be desire go
  4. Wander
  5. Slide through my fingers
  6. Skeleton Tiger

Apart from my top 2 It was pretty difficult for me to rank because I think every song off this EP is perfect

Just like with my Lonerism post, if anyone does decide to comment their rankings please be respectful and remember opinions are subjective and you don't gotta be disrespectful just because you don't agree with them.

Tame Impala - Deadbeat AU Tour / Oct 10th 2026. 📸

Shot by me on iPhone 18 Pro.

These new cameras are unreal! Love the warmth, softness and character you can achieve with these. 🎞️

Why didn't I discover this masterpiece until now?

I just came across this track by accident and was surprised I hadn't heard it earlier. Do you think this is one of Kevin's best collaborations, or are there other lesser-known tracks like this I should check out?

Start a Tame Impala song chain in the comments and let people continue the lyrics!

If you don’t know how a song chain works basically just say the first line and people keep continuing the lyrics after you

what is tame impalas most relatable song?

for me it’s Music To Walk Home By, it genuinely infallibly replicates the feeling of being secluded from others and losing your shit from trying to fit in

“can almost hear the fun that i should be having instead of all this dreaming” hits hard

What part of the show is this?

I was rewatching some footage from the first leg of the tour last year, but I don’t remember this part at all seeing him this year. I don’t even know what song this is, can anybody help?
