First off, great show.

Observations-

*Kevin is really embracing the rock star thing he has going and nailing it. Good on him.

*Girls LOVE him. I wasn’t expecting the amount of women at the show, probably more than men.

*Let it Happen got the biggest pop from the crowd, probably followed up by Dracula.

*Cool light show stuff, some interesting things I’ve never seen before.

*I didn’t realise the 60s hippie look was a theme for the female crowd at Tame Impala shows. Was cool to see.

These are just my newbie observations. I also didn’t realise Elephant was a Tame Impala song (heard this song countless times on the radio over the years but thought it was actually from a 60s band).

Overall a great show.

This show has achieved success very quickly. This show is gaining momentum and seems to have a buzz around it which is rare for an Australian show these days. But at the peak of its popularity it's ending.

Obviously the creators have their reasons and we don't know yet how the series wraps up, but I guess a part of me feels like I don't want it to end prematurely. I guess for a show as good as this I wouldn't complain if there was another season. Kind of like if your favourite band breaks up and you wish they made more albums haha.

Anyone else surprised its ending or will the "quality not quantity" rule apply here.

Are there any relatively newish rock/metal artists which you think are quite good and compatible to the bands of your era?

Just curious which bands the older rock/metal fans are taking notice of. And what makes that band stick out for you?

When Prophets of Rage toured Australia, the venue in my city got massively downgraded, to a venue roughly a quarter of the size. I’m assuming poor ticket sales.

What’s another example where a promoter may have been a bit ambitious with the venue booking by overestimating an artist’s draw?

My son has a 360 with a bunch of games. I give him a game to play (I can’t remember the game some war shooting game).

Game doesn’t work without internet. Plus it said you had to have a gold account to play it.

Game was useless to him. And frankly disappointing.

So back to Halo he went.

Anyone else concerned with the prospect of disc rot?

I’ve encountered a few Blu-ray discs in the past few months that have fallen victim to disc rot.

Been collecting blu-ray since 2012 and never had the issue, but I’ve come across 3 discs that I’ve had to toss due to disc rot (another disc had disc rot but still played perfectly).

Could just be unlucky but is frustrating.

I’ve followed AB since the release of One Day Remains. They are a successful band and have grown a healthy fanbase, and most people in this sub would argue they are superior to Creed in every way.

In your opinion why is it AB never attained the same success as Creed? Is it timing? Did Tremonti use his best riffs in Creed? Was Creed marketed better back then?

I’m just interested in people’s perspectives as to why this is the case.

The amount of tent cities that have popped up in the last few years is sad.

I understand why this is happening, but it is disappointing that this is the trajectory Brisbane is on.

I don’t have a solution, but I feel it’s not a great look for Brisbane which prides itself as one of the most liveable cities.
