Intelligence and trading
I went to a trading event where there was lots of math and calculations. I noticed a lot of the people were extremely smart and able to do stuff quickly in their heads. And they know about a ton of trading terms. I'd say, can do higher education in engineering/compsci type smart. Yet they weren't raking in the money trading, and came to the event to ask for help/advice.
Then I think of the two verified traders ($1M+) I know who aren't necessarily that smart, yet are consistently profitable. One of them, I don't think could graduate from a STEM bachelor's. They probably couldn't calculate anything technical in the charts without taking some time. But they just stick to what they know and execute consistently.
I already knew being book smart doesn't correlate to trading success. But it was very interesting to see this in person...
