Trying to get into golf

Essentially I am mid twenties female trying to get into golf this summer so I had a few questions

  1. I’ve tried ringing up several golf courses on their “get into golf” programmes and my understanding is a majority of them have already started or now have waiting lists which is a real bummer. I’m in Dublin 8 - does anyone know of any that are starting this summer that I have missed the boat on?

  2. I was also looking for general advice on how to get into golf when I don’t really know anyone to help me, can I play alone? I did do 4 group lessons and I was okay and do have some sort of eye coordination as I play a lot of other sports thankfully. From the lessons, I was hoping to find people to play with but it didn’t really work out.

  3. If I was to book a round - which golf clubs let’s non members play and have easy admin in booking?

  4. Golf clubs are pretty expensive and I’m not sure I’m ready to commit to buying a set - what’s it like to rent or find some second hand ones?

Thanks for any help in advance

I have gone down a rabbit hole of trying to understand what area of Dublin would the National Stadium or Griffith college be in?

It doesn’t seem to fit portobello energy or vibe despite being so close to it…

Then I found out there’s a neighbourhood called the Tenters? I had actually never heard of this area of Dublin before despite being from Dublin and I would wonder if people would even know this area as it’s not even on map

Then Harold’s cross seems to stop at the canal

Any thoughts , I’m very interested lol
