It’s been 12 days since Mosely was fired & I wanted to
get a gauge on how long we’ll have to wait. I learned it took Weltman 48 days to hire Clifford after Vogel & 36 days to hire Mosley after Clifford. I know the general consensus in the fanbase is that Weltman is a bad GM but I think that’s pretty smart to really be as thorough as possible in the interview process when trying to determine the best candidate, so I have to admit I’m more confident whoever he chooses will be the right guy. I’m sure he has Paolo & Franz involved in things as well right?

If you were the GM, what’s moves would you make to have the perfect offseason? These are the moves I would make below ⬇️ but I’m honestly curious to see what moves other fans would make also 👀

#️⃣**1️⃣ : Upgrade the center **spot

🔄 Trade Wendell Carter ➕ 2026 second round pick ➕2027 second round pick for Kel’lel Ware.

Reasoning : Carter is Orlandos biggest offensive liability, meanwhile Ware would fit perfectly due to his elite rebounding, athleticism, & ability to stretch the floor (40% 3 PT Shooting). Also for some reason it seems Spoelstra is reluctant to give him starter minutes & they seemed to clash at times. The Heat are a really young team so they would be getting a solid low cost vet which seems more in line with what they usually prefer.

#️⃣**2️⃣ : Upgrade the lead guard **spot

🔄 Trade Anthony Black ➕ Tristan Da Silva to the Bulls for the 1st round (13th) pick.

Reasoning : Suggs coming off a down year will be difficult to trade so the smartest move is to sell high on AB who’ll likely end up hitting free agency anyway due to cap restraints. Packaging him with Da Silva allows us to get a taste of a class stacked with talent. At this spot in the draft we could land a guy like Bennett Stirtz (19.8 PPG, 2.6 REB, 4.4 AST) or Christian Anderson (18.5 PPG, 3.6 REB, 7.4 AST). Both of these guys are 40% shooters from the 3 PT line with great playmaking ability & I think they each have a real shot to be solid starters in the NBA.

Conclusion : This is just for pure entertainment purposes of course as I’m just an armchair fan, so let’s keep that in mind 😂 but I really do think these would be solid moves improve at PG & C. Post your “perfect offseason” below if you think you’d be a better GM than me 😆😅
