Does he like me?? Literally dying to know 😭
Ok so I have a very complicated situation. Because I LOVE this show called when I fly towards you, I'm going to name my crush lurang and my bff Jiang Jia. So basically I've like lurang since the first day of high school and it's been just over a year since then. But Jiang Jia liked him too and I honestly had no idea until she told me that he is her valentines. (This was last year btw) and I was very upset ngl, I tried to get ride of those feelings cuz I thought that I had no chance with lurang. On valentines day, lurang gave Jiang Jia a chocolate and she gave him paper flowers and something else. He didn't really make an effort for her most of the time. And also Jiang Jia suspected that lurang actually liked me, which didn't make sense to me at the time cuz of the whole valentines situation and she also said he stared at me a lot. But now it lwk makes sense since lurang dumped her (they weren't actually dating but I'm just gonna say dumped since idk how else to explain it). Fast forward a few months, he sent a text to Jiang Jia basically saying that he didn't like her and she is ugly and weird (she might be weird but I love weird but she is DEFINITELY NOT ugly). And at the end of the text he said that he was using her to make someone else jealous, idk if he made that up or something but if he was going to make anyone jealous it would be someone with a close connection to her which is literally only me. This is a far reach tho. I didn't act jealous cuz I was trying to hide it so maybe he realized his plan isn't working and just dropped it (if the person he was trying to make jealous was me). Now after she told me about what happened, I gave him a big lecture over text (had to literally hunt down his number) basically saying that he can't just hurt someone like that for his own gain and he was like idc, your opinion doesn't really matter to me. Now I WILL always put my bestie first, no matter what, so if this made him stop liking me then so be it. Oh also I forgot to add, once in one of our classes we sat together (it was alphabetical order) and he took my mirror (it was something I got from Singapore), also he often took my stuff, and I tried to take it back. He held it out of my reach and held my wrists (🤭🤭🤭🤭) then I told him 'if it breaks you have to get me a new one' then he said that he would and I was like 'are you going to go all the way to Singapore to get me this exact same mirror' and he said 'yes, it's worth it' idk if he meant worth it cuz it's for me or worth it cuz going to Singapore would be nice. But yeah super romance drama vibes. And here's the things that has happened recently: (yes I did use chatgpt to summarize this cuz it already took forever to type this and I basically started reflecting all of the moments between me and lurang with chatgpt do I can get some meaning to what is even going on)
We had to go into groups for a drama assessment and since it was just him and his friends left and me and Zoe, the teacher put all of us as a group. And when we were deciding he was going to write the script for the play (our assessment) he kept suggesting i do it, like he was 'I think the person with the longest hair should do it', 'I think the shortest person here should do it', 'since you have neat handwriting you should do it'. And this brought back such good memories of last year before that whole situation, he use tease me a lot, we even got into a diss battle almost every maths lesson. one of the biggest moments This year was when a teacher was lecturing me abt my hair being in my face (literally just bangs, nat that deep), he pulled out the code of conduct after (idk if he was checking if it was a big as a problem as she was making or what but uhm super romantic)
another moment LAST year was him calling me by my surname which felt VERY to all the boys I loved before coded (but my surname doesn't Covey like Covey). I also called him by his surname too i sit behind him in eng now because he randomly chose the seat in front of me after the teacher let us choose seats (update: the teacher made us move back to alphabetical cuz we're apparently too loud)
we lock eyes A LOT 😭 especially during funny/chaotic class moments
he tends to look at me while everyone else is talking/singing instead of fully participating himself
On bday when the class was singing the birthday song he was mostly quiet but looking directly at me while everyone sang (like genuinely didn't even hide it) 😭
repeated arm touches and neither of us flinch or move away awkwardly
one time our arms touched on the stairs during a fire drill and it was closer than before 💀
hands almost touched in biology
during drama he swapped seats to sit more closer to my side
during maths he forgot his textbook and i moved mine closer so he could use it 😭
he could’ve looked at his friend’s book instead but i HOPE he used mine
during one of the lessons about relationships/marriage he was smiling SO MUCH and looked at me while smiling while i was giggling too 😭
he usually sits at the back but in one class with a sub he randomly sat closer to the front and later rested his head on his arms facing my direction
at squash (the extra circular sport that me, lurang and Jiang jia go to) he almost grabbed my blazer by mistake thinking it was his because our sizes are similar 💀
he’s seen me improving at squash and i lowkey hope he noticed
jiang jia constantly teases me about him and literally called him “your crush” + “your boyfriend” before 😭
at first i was terrified of her finding out but now i think she already suspects it and maybe even ships it a little
HOWEVER jiang jia can be annoying and obnoxious sometimes
i also recently found wifty/kpop friends and i’m SO HAPPY because now i have people to talk about kpop/cdramas/wifty with 😭
