Brand new player, right steps to begin?

I always saw my younger brother play dota2, in the past (10ish years ago) i also gave it a try but it didn't catch me...

Now for some reason, i'd like to try it... I played some matches vs bots but it seems the often act a bit random: i.e. I as Dragon Knight in safe lane i want to practice my last hits, the support in my lane often "steals" my last hits.. 😃 I suppose that a real player/support doesn't do that...

Should I give a go at the unranked matches with other players? I already know that i'll be "that guy" that have no idea what's going on, and I don't know if there's some hidden ranking also in the unranked matches, or if I could be in team with players with hundreds of hours...

Theres a "new players" mode, but every time i try, it fills up the missing spots with bots, and ... there always are 9 bots + me, so not really useful (i suppose that in 2026 there are not a lot of new players)

What's the best way to procede from there? I don't mind too much toxic comments, people that for no reason cry and shout at me, i'm 40 and grown enough to give the right weight to that stuff, but at the same time i also want to try an organic game..
