How do you balance it all??
Im a FTM to an almost 5 week old and I’m barely keeping it together. My biggest concern is keeping up with my milk supply. Right now I do a combo of breast feeding and giving bottled breast milk.i will be going back to work in July and he will be going to daycare so I want to get a head start on production. I primarily only breastfeed at night, with one mid night pump and give bottles during the day however when he is needing more milk, I breast feed. My nipples seem to always hurt which is another reason why I give bottles during the day, to give my nipples a break. LCs have looked at him latching and my nipples and told me there is nothing wrong.
He has quite the appetite since day 1. He eats every 2 hours 3.5 oz but I feel like he could drink more. Meanwhile I am only pumping 2 oz each session IF I can pump. I do occasionally have rare moments where I will pump 4 oz. He cries anytime he’s set down and I have no one to help me. We live with my future mother in law but she is always busy doing something and my fiance works 10 hour shifts Monday through Friday. And even when he is home it just seems like complete chaos. And trying to keep up with house work and taking care of myself…
