Underrated: Tom Nuttall
Deadwood had so many great characters I think Tom Nuttall gets overlooked. He was one of the originals in the camp and one of the steadiest and solid background characters. He was funny but also seemed like he use to be a hard guy who just wanted to relax.
I call season 2 episode 8 the Tom Nuttall episode. It was one of the best of the show in my opinion. The dialogue was great especially from Tom. The whole community was enthralled over Tom's bet whether he could ride his bike all the way across the thoroughfare.
And if you doubt it, you "suck ---- by choice"!
