I’m shopping now, looking to buy soon. I understand I want 18-24k BTU. The furnace has a fan setting and subfloor ducting with registers in every room. My 2 solutions for a temporary install are:
A 24,000BTU window unit mounted in a small room about 5 feet away from the furnace inlet.
2 16,000BTU free standing units, one in the living room and one in the kitchen pointing at the furnace inlet.

Or if there is another temporary install I should consider please advise. I am not looking to do a split mini (change my mind?)

Brand or stats advice is much appreciated as well.
