Sugar Lips Parking

Parking at sugar lips has always been horrendous so people have always utilized the lot next door because the building was abandoned. Recently a mental health office opened up and they announced no one was allowed to park there. I absolutely understand not parking there during business hours but when the office is closed they’ve been putting up trash cans so people can’t enter the lot.

It just feels very icky (I know no one cares) but sugar lips is a community staple. I live in the area and have been walking by the lot for years. No one ever leaves trash in the lot or leaves their cars parked for an extended amount of time.

Does anyone know what the issue is with parking in the lot after hours/why the new owners have such a problem with it?

Edit: this isn’t something that affects me really, I live close enough to walk to there. I liked seeing the community enjoy themselves, people with their families and their kids or pets.

I walk there pretty frequently in the summer, couple times a week. I have never noticed trash or cars parked overnight. My husband hates litter and usually makes it a point to pick up trash he sees and keep it with him until he finds a trash can so it’s not that we’re not looking, people don’t leave trash in this lot.
