🪩 I've been working on a personal archival project: "Almost Gone - The Unreleased Songs from Music" (93 tracks) - Would love your feedback!

Hey everyone!

Over the past few weeks, I've been diving deep into Madonna's Music era (1999-2001) and compiling a comprehensive collection of unreleased tracks, demos, remixes, and rare material. It's become a real labor of love, and I wanted to share it with this community and get your thoughts.

What I've gathered so far:

  • 93 tracks in a single unified collection (~7 hours, 8 minutes of music)
  • William Orbit session outtakes and demos
  • Mirwais vault material (recording takes, acapellas, unused vocals)
  • Rare promotional releases and vinyl rips
  • The elusive "Liquid Love" in multiple variations (20+ versions)
  • Dated studio mixes (including "Master Mix 2000.02.08" 💎)
  • Notable fan-made mashups and community productions (for historical context)
  • All tracks analyzed with Spek for quality verification
  • Full metadata, credits, and archival documentation

I'm focusing on preservation and documentation—every track is tagged with source information, spectral analysis notes, and context. I'm including both official promos that never got digital releases AND notable community productions (clearly labeled as fan-made) because they're part of the era's history.

Here's what I'm curious about:

  1. What's missing? Are there demos, remixes, or session outtakes you know about that I should track down?
  2. What do you think of the scope? Is 93 tracks too much, too little, or about right for a comprehensive archive?
  3. Any sources I should check? Specific Discogs releases, collector networks, or regional promos I might have missed?
  4. Your opinion : Do you think fan-made mashups belong in an archival collection like this (clearly documented as such), or should I keep it strictly to official/studio material?

Technical Specifications:

  • Format: MP3 320kbps CBR (iTunes/LAME encoder)
  • Sample Rate: 44100 Hz
  • Normalization: ReplayGain (Track Mode) - permanently applied
  • Quality Control: Spectral analysis via Spek on every track
  • Metadata: ID3v2.4 tags with source information, producer credits, and archival notes

This is a personal, non-commercial project focused on historical preservation. I'm not sharing it for profit—just documenting an incredible era of Madonna's work that deserves to be remembered in full.

I'm happy to share the full tracklist in the comments if anyone wants to see it, or I can DM it to you. Would genuinely love to hear what you think and what might make this collection even better.

Thanks for all the work you do keeping Madonna's legacy alive! 💿✨
