Is this infected and what can I do about it?
Fell into a creek with stagnant water like a day ago, cut up my knee on something (there were sharp rocks all along the bottom so probably that). Lost my shoe when I fell in so I had to look for it for around 20-30 minutes, and I didn’t even realize I got scraped until I saw my blood in the water. Felt like hot fire the entire time, spread down my leg.
Got home and it was swollen and filthy, so I cleaned it up with hydrogen peroxide and it was soo painful😭 Every couple of hours it forms this discharge on top. Its absolutely excruciating and it just like flames every time I walk or bend my knees while sitting/sleeping. Been cleaning it periodically with hydrogen peroxide and I keep a bandaid on it.
Photo is from 10 minutes ago. Doesn’t really show in the picture but the whole area is bruised. Have no idea what to do about this puss because it’s aggressive and if I don’t clean it immediately, it hardens and sticks to the cut which is a pain to get off.
