In the first place, I never ever dreamt of becoming a lawyer
I always loved tech and was fascinated about space
But my dad died and we were left in a huge debt struggling to survive financially. I tried to get a govt engineering college as it wasn't possible for my mom to spend 3-4 lakhs for a degre but I couldn't.One of my friends told me about Calcutta University law entrance exam and I filled up the form and got selected in the top college.Now as it's a govt college the degree only costs 12000 rupees.So without a single thought I took the chance and got admitted.
Since then I realised law isn't for me, even if I try to manage with the academics studying totally new subjects it is not enough.I have begged cried prayed for internships.I was neglected not heard and thrown out.I have zero connections.Whenever I go somewhere to prove myself it's always that guy who's dad was in the court for 20 years is somehow better than me.No senior advocate is well behaving,they all think we should go through 2x the pain they went through because we deserve it.They treat you like garbage.
I am honestly lost and find no hope in this career.If you're someone who has established yourself in law in recent years,please help me out.How so I get internship and how do I establish myself in this negative atmosphere.Also if there's a workaround such as govt jobs or other plan b I should consider.
