Installers Damaged Driveway - No Response
On Saturday, June 13th, new internet service was installed at my home. Upon the departure of the installers, I noticed damage to my driveway. I immediately submitted a claim form on the Frontier website. The automated message indicated that I would receive a response within three business days. The third business day was Wednesday, June 17th. As of this email, I have not received any response. I have attempted to contact customer service multiple times, over weeks, to follow up on the damage claim and was informed that I must wait for the damage claim department to contact me.
The installation van backed up my driveway and placed wheel chocks under the tires to prevent it from rolling down our driveway while parked. We have a steep driveway. When the installation was complete and the installers departed, they had to back up to remove the wheel chocks from the tires. In doing so, the van’s tires spun out, creating two ruts in the asphalt of our driveway. We recently paid over $6,000 to have our driveway replaced. What really puts salt on the wound, is that they obviously knew what they did as one of them had to pull the chocks out, but they just left and didn’t help initiate the damage claim.
Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed? I feel like I need to hire a lawyer and go after Frontier for the damages and to recoup any legal fees this generates. I tried filing a claim with PURA but they do not have oversight on Frontier internet.
