Hi, I am a 16-year-old beginner, and I've been taking violin lessons since this February. Since then, I've only learned how to play the G and A major scales, arpeggios, a few etudes, and the first movement of Rieding Concerto Op. 35. Now, these past few months, I feel like there has been no improvement in my playing. I have weak bow control, I feel like I play out of tune, and there is no fluidity in my playing. Also, I think I am very bad at sight-reading and music theory (since I am not getting a proper music education in middle school). I am watching a lot of videos on YouTube about that, but it seems like I can't apply those to my playing. I am taking a one-month break from my classes, and are there any tips for improving by myself in that time, and what would you guys suggest?🙏
