PH to form ASEAN Maritime Center

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. emphasizes that the proposed ASEAN Maritime Center is not about provoking conflict, it is about strengthening unity, stability, and cooperation across the region.

By promoting freedom of navigation, peaceful use of the seas, and respect for international law, ASEAN takes a collective step toward safeguarding the shared interests of its people and economies. This initiative reflects a vision of diplomacy over division and collaboration over confrontation.

In a time of growing regional challenges, the call is clear: stronger coordination, shared responsibility, and one ASEAN working together for peace and security.
