Grass Residences as a UPD Student

Hello po! Im an incoming freshman sa UPD po. I’m planning on renting either sa MPlace Residences or Grass Residences.

For Grass, ano po yung tower na most convenient or closest po sa sakayang papuntang UP? Okay naman po ba yung facilites sa Tower na iyon? Ilang minutes or oras po usually ang tinetake kapag may pasok?

+ which between grass and mplace is significantly better?

maraming salamat po!

pumunta ako sa lakad saysay ng quezon city tourism department

i recently went to qctd's lakad saysay at quezon memorial circle since i had my free time during the mornings and i can say that its one of the more interesting history tours and talks that i went !

from the start, we were given a free quezon city passport that contains all the places to visit at qc + free breakfast (carbonara and pineapple juice) so its sulit considering its free.

our tour guide is famed xiao chua, a historian who really knows his stuff. from the get go, the guy is really humorous and passionate. you can see that he tries to distill historical topics that are palatable for the everyday juan, in a way na maiintindihan nila + makakaconnect sila. a lot of dad jokes and jokes hailing back from the 90s HAHAHA but he knows everyday issues

speaking of everyday issues, he is very vocal politically making sneers and snides over the circus we have of a government—which for me is the thing that i like the most about him especially that he is more left-leaning

throughout the tour of manuel l. quezon, he gets to showcase both sides of quezon. a side that really helped the philippines through reforms we enjoy today such as the 8 hour law and social justice but also a side such as him being janus faced and his ugali

we visited the quezon memorial shrine and was able to see his tomb and some other artifacts he owned during the commonwealth period. we were able to see a replica of his heritage home, and lastly we went over the bahay modernismo which shows the life during the 50s and 60s (midcentury)

Jollibee canceled my paid order 2 months ago and still refuses refund, only offering food replacement.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask for advice regarding a refund issue with Jollibee. I know the amount is not that big, but as a student marami na mapupuntahan yung 578 pesos ko.

Last March 17, I ordered through the official Jollibee app and paid online using GCash through Maya QR. After waiting for almost 2 hours, the order got canceled. In the order history, the reason stated was that the store failed to process the order.

Despite this, my payment worth PHP 578 was never refunded.
I immediately contacted Jollibee support and kept following up for weeks, but apparently my concern was initially received by a different branch before being transferred to the correct branch. Because of this, they said the refund was delayed.

Now, after almost 2 months, the branch manager keeps insisting on delivering the food instead of refunding my money. They also mentioned multiple times that the refund process is difficult and may take weeks, and they even said they cannot guarantee that I will get my money back.

I respectfully declined the food replacement because:
the order was never fulfilled,
the cancellation was caused by the store,
and I simply want my money refunded as I am only a student and expecting my money to be refunded.

And now, this week, I kept asking and texting for an update sa manager. This is really frustrating lol.

Has anyone experienced something similar with food delivery refunds?
Thank you.

Birthday party food tray recommendations around QC that can deliver to Eton Centris?

Hi! Any recommendations for reliable party food tray sellers around Quezon City that can deliver to our office at Eton Centris, EDSA corner Quezon Ave?

I’m looking for good food trays or party packages for around 25–30 pax. Preferably yung tried and tested na masarap talaga and hindi nakakahiya i-serve sa office since I’m a new employee and birthday treat ko sana hehe.

Please drop their links/pages where I can contact them, and also their best sellers or recommended food trays/packages. Open to Filipino, Korean, Japanese, pasta, chicken, or mixed party food. Budget-friendly but still good quality sana.

Thank you so much! 😊

Fuel Smart - Live Fuel Price Tracking App

For all the drivers that are trying to save some gas money. 🙇‍♂️

Started as passion project, not really a mobile developer but ended creating one. Project started 4th week of January giving 30mins - 1 hour a day progress. Learned everything from scratch and forced to expedite the project because of the ongoing fuel crisis.

This is now what it looks like 1 month after going live.

It has massive support in some areas of the Philippines and is sustainable but it is struggling to retain users on areas that has no data yet 😞

Features ⛽:

✅ Crowdsourced prices

➡️Usually requires 2-3 exact same reports to be verified but for now in the early stage, disabled muna.

➡️Distance constraints: User can only update a fuel station's price when it is near to that area by approximately 3km. Some users take pictures and update the prices later when on when they are on full stop driving.

➡️Price guard, only accepts values near the current market price average per fuel type Price photo capture, works only on mobile app using ML kit as tesseract.js for browser seems insufficient.

✅ Dynamic station indicators

➡️Green: Prices were updated on the current week's fuel price adjustments

➡️Red: Prices were not updated after the week's price adjustments

➡️Gray: Stale, no fuel price info yet. No DOE prices as this creates user expectation when in reality, the actual fuel price is not close to the DOE's. P.S. Fuel stations can set their own fuel prices higher or lower than DOE's.

✅10 cheap fuel list

➡️Displays the top 10 cheapest fuel based on the filters of fuel type, distance, brand, and max price.

✅Route Planning

➡️Set a route and the app will display only stations near to that.

➡️Filters and sets the prices along your route in the "Cheap fuel list" Purple markers: Means that it is the cheapest fuel along your route.

✅Leaderboards

✅Fuel Expense Tracker

✅Vehicle Registration Board

✅And many more features to go around.
