Hi,
I was diagnosed with POI at 23 years old. I started HRT 2mg daily and cycle progesterone 200mg in monthly.
I noticed for 3 months straight I had period like symptoms and bleeds without introducing progesterone. No REI can tell me if this is a period or not. I was told “you could be ovulating, but we don’t know.” I then had a few months with no bleeding unless I introduced the progesterone.

Has anyone had experience with this? Anything would help. I feel lost in this diagnosis.

I was diagnosed at 23 years old when my family doctor ran hormone labs due to me having weird symptoms, hair, thinning fatigue, etc. I had been on birth control from 14 until 23.
I was thrown around to multiple different. OB/GYN‘s reproductive endocrinologist endocrinologist. I do have Hashimoto’s with high antibodies close to 3000 but normal thyroid labs.

I was having no other symptoms of POI was started on HRT therapy and begin having monthly bleeding, which I thought was a period but nobody could tell me and they still suggested I do the cycle of the progesterone each month to induce bleeding. When I take the progesterone to induce bleeding, it is very painful for me.

Watching everybody around me, conceive a child and struggling to know if I will ever be able to conceive it’s been very depressing and lonely. I became RN and have not been able to really go to work. I’ve been working from home kind of isolating myself because I feel very depressed. Nobody seems to understand what I’ve been going through and it’s kind of hard because I’m ruminating and chronically think about why this has happened to me some days are easier than others.
While they were working me up for this diagnosis, they categorize me as I have fragile X syndrome in a gray zone area so they suggest I use donor eggs anyway due to being able to pass this down to my kids if I was able to conceive, has anybody had labs and been diagnosed with this fragile X gray zone area and knows exactly what it means?

If anybody has any advice or guidance on what I should do, moving forward would be appreciated. I had just moved to a different state so it is hard finding care here.
