We lost our seven year old dachshund yesterday due to IMHA. It was incredibly sudden and totally out of the blue. He was typically healthy and this has been a complete shock to our family. He was my soul dog and my toddlers best friend. We are beyond devastated and I can’t imagine life without our pup. I’m reading more about IMHA and how tragic most diagnoses are.. I wish more people knew about this disorder and there was something more we could have done. He was diagnosed at 10:30 am Wednesday and passed by Friday at 8:05am. Our whole world has been turned upside down.

Is anyone else struggling with being in your home? We feel like we can’t be here- it’s a constant reminder of the loss. He’s everywhere here.
