Southwest has lost a customer
My mother-in law has passed, and my husband is trying to get from New Hampshire to San Antonio. He's a loyal SWA passenger. Or was.
He was originally booked on a flight on May 18 set to depart MHT at 7:10 PM with a connect through MDW and arrive SAT at 12:30 the 19th. First leg was delayed 2+ hours, which means he misses the connect. Calls SWA and gets an attitude from the rep who finally rebooks him "as a courtesy" on Flight 4352 today, departing MHT at 7:30 AM, arrival at 12:35 PM SAT.
After SWA boards the whole plane this morning, they announce that Maintenance is on the way to check a possible bird-strike from the day before. Everyone off the plane. Delay of 2 hours announced. So again, he'll miss the connect in MDW.
Gate Agent tells him he's now booked on a flight scheduled to depart MDW at 9 PM, and that it's 'the best available option' and here's a coupon for lunch.
