How to deal with extremely loud Spanish /mex music blasted at night?!
I need some advice.
My grandparents are trying to sleep, and one of them recently had open-heart surgery. It's after 9 PM, and a neighbor is blasting Mexican music (sounds like norteño/banda) so loudly that you can hear it throughout the entire house and from down the block.
Before anyone says I'm overreacting, I actually tried recording a video because it's hard to explain just how loud it is, but I can't figure out how to upload videos here to Reddit.
I honestly don't care what kind of music people listen to. My issue is the volume. It's so loud that it's rattling through the whole neighborhood, and this isn't the first time it's happened.
I'm generally pretty laid-back and not the type to complain, but my grandparents are trying to sleep, and at this point it's becoming a real problem.
Would you go talk to them directly, or would you call the non-emergency police line? I'm a woman by myself, so I'm a little hesitant to walk over there alone at night and confront strangers.
For those who've dealt with extremely loud neighbors before, what worked best for you?
