I’m a gear head and love all this gear out there now a days. I’m 40 years old and play in a 30+ league. Basically a back up catcher for our team play 2-3 innings a game sometimes 1.
Ain’t the best catcher out there but I feel like I’m decent. I’m looking at gettin some new gear but I’m so scared of looking to flashy, then I feel it adds pressure to my game as if everyone’s looking at me.
Any thoughts how to handle this ?

But now I’m eyeing up the Rawlings Mach pro set chest / leg guard. Ain’t the best catch to play the game. Any thoughts on looking to cool ? Feel like it adds pressure to my game ? We play once a week sometimes twice. Worth thw investment ? Always think I’ll get the boot at catch, or something will go wrong

Catching in my 35+ adult league. Play usually once a week sometimes twice. I catch maybe 1-3 innings a game. Have Easton elite leg guards.
Found a Rawlings Mach chest protecter online sale, but don’t want to be that flashy guy ? It seams so fancy. Was just thinking of getting the Easton game time chest protecter. The Mach looks sweet so now I’m eyeing up the leg guards that go with that.

Play in a 35+ men’s league and basically play outfield / catcher. Thing is I only catch maybe 1-2 innings a game okay usually once a week.
Just picked up MACH PRO Series Chest Protector as I didn’t have a chest protecter but have rest of my own gear. Easton elite shin guards. We kinda have team gear but it’s total junk.
Any thoughts on having your own gear ? I feel the Mach pro is super fancy and hate being that guy lol for 1-2 innings. Any thoughts ?
