Ferris 500S thoughts?

Gonna pull the trigger on a new 60” ZT in the next couple weeks. My budget is $8K including taxes. I can get an Exmark Radius S through a family member for that price, but I’m really drawn to a Ferris. The 3.5 acres I mow is mostly flat but pretty bumpy and the full independent suspension seems like a better choice over a suspension seat. The only thing on paper I don’t like about the Ferris is the 3 gal tank. I would be optioning the Kawasaki motor instead of the Briggs as well . Would appreciate any thoughts, or other brand suggestions?

How accurate is this?

Trying to decide on 52 vs 60 ZT mowing 3.5+ acres of mixed terrain, mostly flat. 1.5 of “pasture” and 2 with quite a few trees and obstacles.

Found this chart on exmark showing acres per hour. The highlighted row is @ 4mph and the percentage at the top is “efficiency”. They consider 80% a good representation to factor in turns and obstacles.

Assuming my math checks out a 52 would theoretically mow 3.5 acres at 80% efficiency and 4mph in 2.08 hrs. A 60 would do it in 1.80 hrs. A difference of roughly 15 minutes give or take.

My question to you guys is not if the total times are accurate, there’s too many factors for that. But if you think the difference between the two sizes is accurate? It doesn’t seem like as big of a difference than I would have expected and makes me lean towards a 52.

Also, I have access to a friends & family deal on exmark. In a 60” I would probably lean towards a radius e. In a 52 I would probably upgrade to a radius s.
