Avoidant behaviors - the unpleasant reality in mixed faith marriages?

An "avoidant mixed-faith marriage" combines religious differences with an avoidant attachment style. This creates a double-barrier to intimacy: partners must navigate differing worldviews while one or both relies on emotional withdrawal, stonewalling, or conflict avoidance to feel safe.

For how many is this just par for the course in navigating marriage in post-mormonism or PIMO ?

Friendly Reminder: LDS church pays no taxes on its billions and billions in investments.

Ensign Peak Advisors, the investment arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints based in Salt Lake City, does not pay federal or state income on its investment returns. As an integrated auxiliary of a recognized religious organization, it benefits from tax-exempt status in Utah and across the U.S.

Now, let's all have a nice long day working as debt slaves.

Are Patriarchal blessings still being promoted to teens? I remember during my teen years in the 90's there was an emphasis and a push to prepare and receive. Also, in conversation, it was very common to hear most lds folks include some version of, "My Patriarchal blessing says...xyz about abc."

I don't seem to hear the same emphasis given to Patriarchal blessings in 2026. Is the local coven warlock still performing trance-state fortune telling divinations?

Thoughts?

The Mormon Stories lawsuit is hitting the larger news outlets with lots of bad press for the Church. Time for the LDS Church PR team to scramble back to the familiar LDS persecution complex message.
