Hair Algae update

Hair Algae update

I wanted to give an update on my hair algae bloom.

After watching several videos on how to handle hair algae. This is what I came up with.

Lights on for 8 hours

Set light intensity to 40% is key!

Weekly watering changes about 10%

I also bought floating plants

Here is a picture of my results.

I currently own an Ender 5 Max. I have added the camera and enclosure.

While looking through the control panel, I saw a red asterisk next to the firmware. It notified me that there is a new version of the firmware available.

I decided to update the firmware.

Now I get this error code.

See attached photos.

I just emailed #Creality customer service a detailed email.

Just waiting to see if I bricked my printer

I have a 10 gallon bookshelf tank with a Tidal 35 filter, Aquasky 600mm LED lights, and a 50 watt heater.

I noticed I caused a green hair algae bloom with my lights being programmed for 12 hours.

My substrate is releasing nitrates.

I cut the hours of light to 8 hrs

I also bought a bunch of floating plants to consume the excess nitrates.

I have already planted several plants and they have taken off.
