Does opening a new project close ones that were open without saving?

Hey guys sorry for the noob question but I had a project open and clicked New project assuming it would keep the one I was working on open like in other programs. It didn't ask me to save the project I was working on or anything but when the new one opened, the one I was working on seemed to disappear. Did I lose it? When you hit new project does it close your work without saving? I tried going into backup but the only tutorial I could find allowed for restoring .db files but I only have 'timeline' files in my backup

Please do my survey for my class final project (its only 3 questions!)

It says long answer but of course it can be as short as you feel just wanted to keep it open. We're comparing ambulance services in the US and Japan

Anyone know if they provide a table and/or clothes rack for sellers? Wanna clear my closet so I plan to go and sell some 2000s clothes along with a few plushies and trinkets I got in Japan. Emailed SEB.
