Heavy equipment diesel techs in the area?
I'm looking to make a pretty drastic career change from product management, but I'm having trouble finding a way to get my foot in the door. Here's the situation:
After doing a lot of research, I'd really like to try exploring a career being a heavy equipment mechanic or just a diesel mechanic in general (although I'm not very interested in the automotive side). My goal would be to eventually become a field service technician.
I feel like I'm kind of stuck at the moment though. I've looked into certificate programs in Colorado and I'm struggling to find one that would be feasible for me, so I'm trying to keep an eye out for apprenticeship programs.
I was wondering if anyone here is a tech in the industry or knows someone who is and can connect me with them? I'd like to try to chat with some people and get some advice. Thanks!
