Starting Full Time as Staff Accountant (Audit)

Hi everyone,

I will be starting a new position as a staff accountant in audit this upcoming fall. I was wondering if you guys can give me some tips and relevant info that I should know before I start.

Just a little background:

  • I did two internships before at EY and Crowe as a tax intern.
  • This will be my first time in audit.
  • I am pursuing my CPA title.
  • There is a 6-month probation period.
  • I really want to give it my all so I don't think I would register in a CPA module during those months. I am overall excited for this position.

Thoughts?

Watch out for Scams at the Convocation

We purchased a bouquet of flowers with a teddy bear and they overcharged us by $100. We ask for a receipt but the seller said that the line is too long and busy and to tap your card when you see green.

For those who have purchased something from gift shop, please check your receipts and see if its the right price.

Those who haven't purchased anything yet, ALWAYS ask for a receipt, no matter what.
