I kept losing track of client invoices as a freelancer – so I built a simple Notion system for it
Hey everyone,
I’m a freelancer and for a long time I managed clients, projects and invoices in a messy mix of notes, spreadsheets and random docs. I kept forgetting follow-ups and sometimes even open invoices.
So I built a clean Notion setup that connects everything:
- Client CRM (with status)
- Projects linked to clients
- Tasks
- Invoices + outstanding balance
- A simple dashboard that shows what’s due and who still needs to pay
It’s nothing overly complicated – just one place where I can see the status of everything.
I made it as a template in case anyone else has the same problem.
