What are you looking forward to playing on SM not available on PS5?

Just received notification that my steam machine is shipped! While I wait, I've been meaning to ask, what games are people playing that specifically are games exclusive on PC (well not exclusive exactly, but have not released on other platforms) that you're looking forward to playing? As background, I've had Playstations over the years (since PS1 way back when) and I've stuck to that platform pretty faithfully up until recently. My wife got a Steam Deck and has been playing all kinds of cute indie cozy games that aren't available on Switch or PS5. So I don't really have a huge library of games on Steam that I like, such as rpgs, action adventure games, and strategy/sim/builder games. For example, I loved Jurassic World Evolution 3, Cities Skylines, Anno series, etc. I know these also are on Steam, but I'd like to hear what other titles people are looking forward to playing that weren't available on PS5.

Dog bar/playground in the area?

Is there anything remotely close to a Dog Bar/Park/Playground in Charlottesville? We visit from out of town and would love to stop by something like it when we have our dogs. As a reference, I'm talking about something like this: https://barkingbarley.com/dog-playground/

And to preempt the questions I'm going to get:

  1. No, a dog-friendly brewery/cidery/winery isn't what I'm looking for. My dog is pretty reactive to other dogs while on leash, but is totally fine off leash. She's been to many dog parks with no problem. It's stressful for me to bring her to a brewery where she's stuck on the leash and can't play with other dogs. It's not the experience I'm looking for.

  2. I am aware of the dog parks in the region. I'm looking specifically for something more "controlled". I love places that have memberships and require proof of vaccination. I also prefer places that have an indoors area and astroturf on the outdoors area. This is because while I love the outdoors, getting heatstroke or eaten alive by mosquitoes isn't always my idea of fun.

  3. I'm willing to drive up to an hour. I'm based in Harrisonburg and make it to Charlottesville pretty frequently, which is why I'm looking on this sub. But anything within driving distance from harrisonburg is fine. My issue is that looking stuff up online, I've only been able to find stuff in DC or much farther east than is feasible for a day trip (upwards of 2 hours).

Thanks in advance!

“What’s been going on with the F/B scene” in Harrisonburg?

I’ve been in town for less than a year so still trying to figure out the place. Several businesses downtown have closed and posted on social media and referred to something like “if you’ve paid attention to what’s going on you know”. But what’s going on exactly? Someone explain it to me like I’m 5? Thanks!

Hello folks- I recently acquired a Samsung HW-Q990F soundbar. It's been working great, no problems. Now I want to figure out how to control music playback using my voice. When I was first setting up the soundbar, I remember some Alexa options presented to me but I declined all of those thinking I would get back to it later. However, since then, I've been unable to find these options again. I simply want to be able to change volume and pause a song when it's playing on these speakers. I've done the following steps to try and troubleshoot:

  1. Went and downloaded the Alexa app, connected it to my Smartthings account, and make sure the soundbar is visible on that app.

  2. Tried to click on the "more options" three dot menu to find "Alexa Settings" which is what the Samsung official help page tells me to do. I do not see any such "Alexa Settings" menu option.

  3. I've tried just saying "Alexa" after all these steps, muting and unmuting the microphone on the soundbar, etc, to no avail.

  4. I've verified that the Alexa app can control the soundbar by using my phone as the microphone to issue commands. It appear that the soundbar is simply not picking up my voice.

Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
