i hate when websites don’t allow you to view content unless you login.
No, I don’t wanna make an account for your shitty website. I just want to see one thing that someone sent me a link to. That’s it. I’m not trying to buy a house, apply for a mortgage, or access the nuclear launch codes. I just want to look at a damn page.
I open the link, scroll down approximately three pixels, and BOOM “Please log in or create an account to continue.” Okay, fine. I close the popup. Scroll another two pixels. ANOTHER POPUP. Close it. Scroll again. LOGIN REQUIRED. At this point, I’m fighting the website like it personally owes me money.
Deadass, I can’t scroll even a little without being blocked by some giant “SIGN UP NOW 🤓” screen.
This is one of the few reasons I still use Reddit. At least Reddit generally lets me browse the website without holding the entire webpage hostage until I download the app.
