I know it's normal at this time of year, but I just wanted to put it out there that the influenza A going about is a real doozy this year. My kids' school has classrooms where half the kids are away. They've also had a bunch of teachers out. Our doctors told us to go to A+E because they are completely overwhelmed with cases.

My son spent Friday night in hospital, and it was quite scary. My daughter is currently struggling to hold water down and hasn't eaten almost all weekend. So that's looking like another trip to.A+E.
I have it. The wife has it. My mum, who is hardened by years of kindy teaching, has it.

Take care out there. Stay home if you're sick and look out for the tamariki and the oldies.
