Thoughts about Imu and Omen
Imus power is omen
It does not come from a fruit
A devil fruit is an omen embedded fruit
A fruits power or the ability it contains comes from a manifestation of someones dream
Dream in a sense is the wanting of something you dont have
Which in essence is sort of like envy
Eating a fruit is eating a dream which was manifested thru omen (a little devil)
Awakening a devil fruit is aligning your dream with that of the fruit
Best example of this is Doflamingos fruit. Where it is the string fruit which inherently lets you control things thru it, and so doflamingo wants to control everything amd everyone and so his dream aligns with of said fruit. The other example would be luffy, where the nika fruit is tied to nika the sun god of liberation, and luffy wants to be the freest person alive. And so the omen passes through him and it is now him.
Imu having the power of the devils fruit, he can desire, dream, want something, and he will achieve it much like devil fruits themselves. If he believes he can stretch his arms to hit luffy, he will stretch. If he wants to be able to shoot fireballs that come to life and track people, he can.
He was not able to domi reversi luffy or loki, because domi reversi implants omen into you in such an overwhelming way, especially those who have never eaten a devil fruit, they dont have the experience. So far we’ve seen Rocks, Harald, Ruven and the giants be domi reversi’d, none of which have devil fruit afaik. Luffy and loki not only have their own devil fruits, they have awakened them which means they have experienced and control their own omen. Where this gets a little complicated is when we talk about the HK and Gorosei. But I believe that it has something to do with the covenant mark. He has given omen buffs to the HK on Elbaf, and taken over the bodies of Mars, Saturn and Gunko. Theres a lot more to talk about but I dont want to make this too long.
