Hi, im a begginer and i want to learn how to make a compiler for my project

im at chapter 2 of the engineering compiler ,wich is about laxical analyzer and i just struggle to understand the utility/ the reason on why i should use a graph instead of if statement ?

i barely understand how to use it in this context also

i have seen some video and some code but i still dont get it

the concept is really hard for me to understand, if someone could help me it would be cool

Hi this is my first post her.

I realised that youtube destroyed my attention span to the point i could no longer do what i used to do for long hours

One years ago i would litteray spend my day watching youtube and being frustated of doing nothing else , i would watch mostly streamer content and do nothing, i lost many days of my life not improving anything, when i realised that i started to spend more time doing thing that require more concentration and time, i find video really interesting because it help you focus more even when you are tired

dark souls 1 was a great way to learn to not give up.

i would play some game and then work four 4-5H minimum, wich for me was more than i ever did
at one point i was working for 7-8h with some pauses

Realising that this is litteray the reason everything is harder in my life , that it is designed to make me loos my time,this and other soical media, i decided to just stop them and only watch content that are 20 minutes minimum like dragon ball gt, or educational video.

Beside that my main objectif right now is to improve my knowledge and my skills in computer science as im working on a video game and i want to go beyond from what im cappable of.

Have you seen difference with and without youtube ?
