My boyfriend and I have been together for two years now. He is honestly so lovely, and it is truly a really beautiful relationship. The other day I found out that 1 in 6 Australian men think about a child sexually. I am not sure why I asked it but I asked if he found out if a friend or a family member was watch child exploitation videos would he hand them into the police. He said if it was a friend yes, but if it was a family member than no and he would rather try to get them help instead. This comment caught me a bit of guard I will admit. I got quite upset at him, and told him that he would rather protect a predator than protect children he didn't say anything to me. I asked if he would hand in a family member if he found out that they murdered someone. He said yes.
In my mind, a murder can sometimes be justified, but child material could never be. I think I am quite distressed by the comment, and I am not sure if I should just leave it alone if im being to dramatic or maybe I should leave the relationship. Please help with suggestions, or maybe I am just being totally dramatic , but I think children deserve every bit of protection we could provide
